Sod can be a better option than seeding in the long term

  • Complete, uniform coverage.

  • Walkable in a few weeks

  • Instantly beautiful and mature.

  • Zero runoff or soil erosion.

  • Lower water requirements

  • Minimal, if any, weed control.

Keys when laying sod

When laying sod, it is important to start with a fertile seedbed with adequate phosphorous. After sod is laid it should be rolled to press out air pockets and help level the surface. Newly installed sod should be watered 2-3 times daily for approximately 30 days or until full establishment. After the sod is fully established Atlantic Prime Turf LLC. recommends fertilizing the sod and undertaking normal irrigation practices.
